Prof. Dr. Venčeslav Kaučič Becomes an Honorary Member of Austrian Chemical Society

At the end of September, the Austrian Chemistry Society awarded an honorary membership to Prof. Dr. Venčeslav Kaučič, the President of the Slovenian Chemistry Association of many years, who was given praise for encouraging and promoting cooperation between chemists all over Europe.
In Linz, Austria, the 14th Austrian Chemistry Days took place between the 26th and 29th of September. The event previously received support from the Slovenian Chemical Society as well.
Accompanying the presentations and discussions on progress within the areas of chemistry and chemical technology, the Austrian Chemistry Society conferred special recognition on the Slovenian colleague Prof. Dr. Venčeslav Kaučič by presenting him with an honorary membership as a form of appreciation of his active support for successful collaboration and exchange between Austrian and Slovenian scientists.
On this occasion, the Slovenian ambassador Geržina also thanked Prof. Dr. Kaučič for raising awareness of Slovenia and its role in the field of science abroad, as well as contributing to the greater visibility of Slovenia in the area of scientific achievements.
