Graduated 1968 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, University of Ljubljana, master of science and Ph.D was granted by the same institution in 1972 and 1974, respectively.

 

Employments

  • Research assistant (1968 - 1974), research associate (1974 - 1984), senior research associate (1984 - 1995), scientific councellor (1996 - present)
  • Head of the Laboratory for Molecular Modelling and NMR (1991 - 2009). All positions were held at the National Institute of Chemistry (former Boris Kidrič Institute of Chemistry).
  • Part time employment at the Department of Physics, University of Ljubljana: Laboratory demonstrator and teaching Assistant (1975 - 1979); Professor of physics (1981 - 2009).

Quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, statistical mechanics and integral equation theories of liquid state, molecular basis of biological evolution, bioinformatics, statistical physics and biophysics. Bibliographical rescord: 90 scientific papers and book charpters 


Past pedagogical activities

Teaching elementary physics for students of metallurgy, textyle design and leather technology and chemical technology. Teaching BIOINFORMATICS for postgraduate students of biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology and postgraduate students of Biomedicine at the University of Ljubljana.
