BOŠTJAN NOVAK: ABSTRACT KEY, September 2019

In the Slovenian art space, artist Boštjan Novak is a unique creator, both conceptually and in terms of design. His continuous work, dating from the early 1990's, brought with him a number of different experimental directions of action: from exploration of abstract sculptural form, through classical figurative clay, to the construction of a number of interesting ties between these two worlds. In the last period, he has associated his sculptural work with the so-called "Abstract key".

This conceptual abstract scheme, which he also described in his writings, is a support to the creative process. At the same time this "key" gives a kind of visual instruction to the viewer and helps the viewer to unlock even very complex sculptural compositions.
