EXHIBITION OF STUDENTS OF VISUAL ARTS AND DESIGN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PRIMORSKA: »ASH AS A CHALLENGE IN ARTISTIC PRACTICE«
As a curator and educator in this process, I find it extremely interesting that students can get involved in a project like this, which is primarily intended for scientists and researchers who deal with materials. And in this process, the art students try to ask questions from their starting point that are surprisingly similar to those of the researchers: What properties does a particular material have, how does it "work" in its contexts and why is that so? Can we use it, how can we utilise it in technological processes... But the answers to these questions are quite different from the conclusions that researchers and scientists draw from this research process...
