Invitation to the opening of the exhibition by Tina Perko

»Illustrations«

on Thursday, July 7, 2024 at 18.00 in the Gallery of the National Institute of Chemistry

Tina Perko, who will be a guest at the gallery of the National Institute of Chemistry, has been working as an illustrator in Slovenia and abroad for more than 15 years, collaborating with publishers such as Didakta, Rokus Klett, Studio Hieroglif, Morfem, Učila International, Epistola, Miles Kelly, Wendy Pye and Little Ant Books. The exhibition brings freshness, mastery in drawing and the use of color, it gives the viewer a sense of complete ease, although every detail is thoughtfully constructed and sensitively stylized even in terms of space, and complex themes are embedded in a framework that simplifies just enough the relationship between the viewer and the story to actually illustrate it justifying its Latin name - ilustratio - illumination.

The exhibition will be on display until 15 August 2024.

Curator: Jiri Kočica
