    Prometheus of Science award for excellence in communication 2022 to Dr. Ajasja Ljubetič

    The Slovenian Science Foundation awarded the Prometheus of Science award for excellence in communication for the year 2022 to Dr. Ajasja Ljubetič.

    Dr. Ajasja Ljubetič is a research associate at the Department of Synthetic Biology and Immunology. He conducts research in the field of designing new proteins and synthetic biology. He is the winner of the prestigious European Marie-Skłodowska-Curie scholarship, which enabled him to spend three years in America, in the world's most famous laboratory for the design of new proteins (Baker lab, Seattle). He has also been working for many years in the field of popularizing his research, among other things he was the winner of the first Slovenian Scientific Slam.
