RTIT>> consortium wraps the year up in Sofia

From 18 to 19 November, RTIT>> project partners held the final meeting of 2025 in Sofia, where we were hosted by our Bulgarian partners – the Applied Research and Communication Fund and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia .

The two-day meeting which was attended by all project partners was aimed reviewing on-going and completed activities, exchanging topical information, and aligning on all future actions for facilitating knowledge transfer and developing innovation capacity throughout the Danube Region.

Opening the first day of the event was Anđela Nikčević from IEC Tehnopolis, followed by Associate Professor Todor Yalamov, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the St. Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia, who highlighted the importance of international cooperation in building resilient innovation ecosystems. Partners presented and discussed on-going piloting activities in six piloting countries, and the three thematic groups held interactive workshops aimed at developing new joint project proposals to preserve the collaborative efforts of project partners after the completion of RTIT>> in 2026.

On the second day, we met at the Muzeiko children’s museum, where a workshop took place to evaluate the tools used in piloting activities. This was followed by a tour of the Sofia Technology Park – one of Bulgaria’s main innovation centers. The park houses 11 specialized laboratories, support infrastructure for start-ups and even a supercomputer for advanced research.

The Sofia meeting was thus packed with content that sparked many networking opportunities, contributed to the generation of new ideas, and culminated in the development of clear guidelines for upcoming activities that will strengthen our know-how community and catalyze knowledge transfer across the region.

The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Danube Region Program.
