Since 2022 Head of the Laboratory for catalysts, Department of Inorganic Chemistry and Technology, National Institute of Chemistry, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Research interests on the design and development of porous catalysts/photocatalysts in heterogeneous catalysis for environmental and energy technologies. A special focus of research on air purification – principal investigator of ARRS research programme: P1-0418 Chemistry of catalysts for clean air

EU research grant: Marie Curie Individual Fellowship

Director of doctoral program Materials at Graduate School and teaching in School of Engineering and Management at the University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia.

Coordinator of Pregl Colloquium at National Insitute of Chemistry.

Member of the Board of Directors of ENMIX (European Nanoporous Materials Institute of Excellence) and of the Management Board of EFCATS (European Federation of Catalysis Societies).

Member of the editorial boards of the journals Catalysis communications and Frontiers in chemistry.

Organizing conferences:
