BORRIS: Bringing Open and Responsible Research and Innovation to Slovenia

With the start of 2026, the National Institute of Chemistry has started implementing project BORRIS: Bringing Open Research and Responsible Innovation to Slovenia) in cooperation with Dutch partner YAGHMA. The main objective of the project is to introduce open and responsible research and innovation into the Slovenian innovation ecosystem in order to better align academic research with societal and industry needs.

To this end, the National Institute of Chemistry will establish a public dialogue with external stakeholders, build on the capacities of its employees involved in research and knowledge transfer, and develop a commercialization strategy that abides by the principles of responsible innovation.

Project budget: EUR 59,912.50.

Project duration: 15 January 2026–14 January 2027.
