Knowledge Transfer Office
The Knowledge Transfer Office is a bridge between science and industry, playing a dual role. On the one hand, we provide researchers at the National Institute of Chemistry with:
- Trainings on the various forms of intellectual property and their importance as well as trainings for acquiring entrepreneurial skills,
- Support in communication with acclaimed patent attorneys, who draw up quality patent applications for the protection of innovations and inventions,
- Help with identifying industry partners for the joint development of technologies and potential sale or licensing of technologies, which includes everything from establishing contact to drafting legal agreements and contracts,
- Support with the establishment of spin-outs,
- Assistance with prize competition applications and planning trade fair presentations.
On the other hand, we are a contact point for industry, where companies can:
- Acquire informatin about the research activities at the National Institute of Chemistry,
- Purchase the rights for current technologies or obtain a license for their use,
- Enter a joint development of technologies supported by the competences of our researchers as well as our infrastructure.
