Donation Funds Presented to the Slovenian Hospice Association
We are pleased to announce that we have successfully concluded the charity initiative we organized in December 2025. The funds collected have already been handed over to the Slovenian Hospice Association, which provides palliative care and support to relatives.
This humanitarian organization was chosen as the donation recipient by employees of the National Institute of Chemistry. We are grateful for their generosity, as they filled our “Charity Box” and together raised €2,130.25. The Institute doubled the amount, so we donated a total of €4,260.50 to the organization.
Hospice's Mission
The Slovenian Hospice Association provides compassionate palliative care, accompanies patients, and supports relatives and the bereaved during the most difficult moments at the end of life. Their professional team and volunteers provide help both at home and in institutions, ensuring closeness, understanding, and respect for human dignity. They offer relief from distress and feelings of anxiety, conversations about difficult topics, respite and support in coping with changes in the final period of life, while also creating a safe space for expressing emotions.
They support not only the dying patient, but also their relatives and bereaved adults, children, and adolescents. They advocate for patients’ rights to live with dignity until the end, in the environment they choose themselves—most often at home, where relatives frequently need additional support and empowerment in providing care.
Compassion, solidarity, respect, tolerance, cooperation, professionalism, equality, and equal opportunities for all are the values on which their work is based.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this charitable campaign!
