Petra Sušjan winner of the L'Oréal-UNESCO scholarship 'For women in science'

L'Oréal Adria and the Slovenian National Commission for UNESCO awarded three promising young researchers this year with the L'Oréal-UNESCO National Scholarship 'For Women in Science' 2020. Among the winners is Petra Sušjan, who researches the mechanisms of activation and inhibition of inflammation NLRP3, which is one of the driving molecular mechanisms of activation of the inflammatory response in many diseases of modern medicine. Knowledge of its activation and inhibition can contribute to the development of drugs and new therapeutic approaches for some chronic, rare and occupational diseases such as diabetes, atherosclerosis and others.

 Congratulations!
