Prof. Roman Jerala elected member of Academia Europaea
Academia Europaea is an international academy of prominent scientists from Europe and the world established to promote excellence in all areas of science and advice to European institutions. Since its inception in 1988, nearly 4,000 scientists, including 72 Nobel Prize winners, have become members of this academy. Among newly elected members in year 2017 is prof. Roman Jerala, Head of the Department of Synthetic Biology and Immunology at National Institute of Chemistry, in the class of Life section and field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
