The President of the Republic of Slovenia awarded the state award to Roman Jerala

Ljubljana, 3 3 2014 - President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor awarded prof. dr. Roman Jerala with the Medal for Services.

 

Prof. dr. Roman Jerala received this prestigious awards for services rendered in the promotion of Slovenian science and higher education in the international arena.

 

At the acceptance prof. Jerala pointed out that these successes would not have been achievable without the cooperation of his colleagues from the National Institute of Chemistry and Centre of Excellence En-Fist. He specially pointed out a group of students with whom they advanced the projects and moved the boundaries of science and in this way contribute to the promotion of Slovenia in the world. He also advocates a greater role of science in the public and believes that Slovenia will continue to invest in science.
