DescriptionNMR spectroscopy is a highly useful technique for obtaining information on the structure and interactions of small molecules as well as biomolecules. One of the interactions we focus on are hydrogen bonds, which are a key component of anion receptor and proteins as well as nucleic acid recognition. Furthermore, low molecular weight ligands can interact with biomolecules through intercalation, where planar aromatic ring system inserts between adjacent base pairs, or bound ligand makes direct molecular contacts with functional groups of biomolecules.
