Travel information
The school will take place in Kobuleti, in Georgia Palace Hotel, located directly by the Black sea.
Georgia Palace Hotel in Kobuleti is located 35 km from Batumi airport and 75 km from Kutaisi airport. A number of Airlines cover flights, such as Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines and Wizz Air.
Important notice (Scam emails): The organizers will book the hotel for the faculty and the participants. Please do not respond to emails or click the provided links. If unsure, please check first with the organizers before proceeding.
Travel costs will have to be covered by the participants, although we will provide a small subsidy, depending on the distance and the GDP of the participant’s working country. Travel support is restricted to the following conditions: 1. The recipient must be present at the SEEIS2026 school and show receipts for travel costs. 2. Reimbursement will take place at the school. 3. No payments are possible to persons other than the recipient.
Before coming to SEEIS, double-check the validity of your travel documents and the conditions for passport validity for entering Georgia (you might find this information at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country).

As of January 2026, all tourists entering Georgia are required to have a valid health and accident insurance policy. Please check for requirements: https://www.geoconsul.gov.ge/en/entering-georgia
Also, SEEIS organizers disclaim all responsibility for medical, accident and travel insurance, for compensation for death or disability compensation, for loss of or damage to personal property and for any other loss that may be incurred during travel time or the period of participation. In this context, it is strongly recommended to secure international medical, accident and travel insurance for the period of participation prior to departure.
