The Innovation Committee is an in-house body of the National Institute of Chemistry, which is responsible for:
- giving opinions on the acquisition of employee inventions or innovations,
- giving opinions on the commercialization of inventions or innovations,
- giving opinions on the maintenance of active patents,
- cooperation in the assessment of project applications for the NICKI internal proof-of-concept initiative.
Pursuant to Article 10 of the NIC Intellectual Property Rights Policy, the members, Chair and Vice-Chair of the Innovation Committee are named by the Director of the National Institute of Chemistry, namely for a term of four years.
In the period from July 2025 to 14 July 2029, the members of the Innovation Committee, who meet at least three times annually, are as follows:
- dr. Alen Albreht,
- dr. Duško Lainšček,
- dr. Sonja Smiljanić,
- dr. Polona Jager,
- Chair prof. dr. Nejc Hodnik,
- Vice-Chair dr. Alenka Ristić.
